    KVM Configuration

The following table defines the configuration tested by AppLabs.

    KVM Configuration as Tested
    Company Belkin
    Model Belkin OmniView Matrix F1D208-OSD
    Connector Type PS2
DescriptionThe unit tested has the model number F1D208-OSD and is a 8-port connecting/switching device which allows the user to control 8 separate PCs from two KVM combinations, i.e., two keyboards, mice and monitor sets control eight separate CPUs contained in separate housings. Additional CPUs can be controlled when KVM units are banked together (up to 128 CPUs controlled with one KVM using two monitors/mice/keyboards.)

The Belkin OmniView Matrix 2X8 provides connectors for two keyboards, monitors, mice (PS/2 and serial) and, of course, provides connections for each of the above for eight (8) separate CPU units. On the front of the unit there are LEDs which indicate both the CPU which is current, that CPUs state and what bank is being viewed. Additionally, the Matrix 2X8 has keyboard control of switching via a short sequence of keys (hotkeys) followed by an onscreen display which has no effect upon the display as generated by the host CPU.
    Monitor NA
Video Adapter CTX VL400 15 inch color monitor
